Summer festival "Dekansho"!!

This big summer festival is held in my town every year.
Such festivals are held by Japanese every place.
Many Japanese people enjoy them.
Around before August 15, local people dance circularly around a tower.
It is the Japanese customs called "Bon-odori".
A Bon festival dance is an event which comforts the spirit of the ancestors which came to the Bon Festival on Aug13-16.

Too many spectators,
Beautiful fireworks,
The stall of the junk food called "Tekiya",
The children who amuse themselves with scooping goldfish.......
The peculiar spectacle colors summer of Japan.

幼少より箏、ピアノに親しむ傍ら、90年代後半よりテクノに傾倒。ロンドン大学院で民族音楽学を学びながら世界各地を旅し、箏とエレクトロニクスを用いたパフォーマンスを行う。英国のクリエイティブ集団TOMATOのアルバムにも参加。
帰 国後「茶寮YMO」としてCLUBKINGや涼音堂茶舗のイベントに出演、桑原茂一に楽曲提供する他、邦楽女子ライブプロジェクト「ニッポン・ガール ズ」、多国籍音楽集団「Rose Oriental Fusion」、磯端伸一（ギター）とのデュオ等でも活動中。2011年よりシアターLOXODONTA BLACK、カフェOVALの音楽監督を務める。

コントラバス奏者。時々エレクトリック・ベース奏者、ヴァイオリニスト、ボイス・パフォーマーなどにもなる。現在はフリー・インプロビゼーションを中心とした演奏活動を行っている。1966年生まれ。

大学時代に望月英明氏に師事。望月氏の教えによる「グズラ奏法」は、池上の演奏スタイルの重要な基礎となっている。また現在は今野京氏（NHK交響楽団）にクラシック奏法を師事。

大学時代にはビッグバンドに所属し、オーソドックスなジャズを中心に演奏。即興を本格的に始めたのは、佐藤允彦氏主宰のワークショップ「ランドゥーガ道場」(第1回は1992年)参加から。現在はフリー・インプロヴィゼーションを中心に活動し、その内容は無伴奏ソロから大編成まで多岐にわたる。また近年は香港など、海外のアーティストとの交流を深めている。

好きなベーシストは、まずチャーリー・ヘイデン、ゲイリー・ピーコック、ジョエル・レアンドル。その他、全部は書ききれません。また、森山威男、菊地雅章、富樫雅彦らの音楽にも深く傾倒している。
ジャズにとどまらず、クラシック、ロックからクレージー・キャッツまで、友人から「人格が破綻している」といわれるくらい多様な音楽を好む。

I have performed here with Quentin Dubost three years ago.





We saw a lot of the artistic scenery in here.

Saint Etienne - 1, France, April,1, 2010

We arrived at Saint Etienne in the afternoon. There is near from Lyons.I have come here to perform for Improvied music festival three years ago.

Here is our venue "Remue meninges".It's nice place.









Here was a sales hall of an organic vegetable in daytime.




I met the nice guy Bob who had come to the festival three years ago again.



I forgot to take the photograph of the food that had been eaten on this day. It must have been delicious...
We stayed at the apartment of wonderful trombonist Mathias Forge this night. He was very kind. I want to play with him some time. Thank you very much Mathias !

The organizer in the concert took us to an Italian restaurant after our concert.






A too delicious pizza, dessert, and black beer passed my throat.






I do not usually drink liquors. However, I drink it too much and have gotten drunk awfully because this dark beer was delicious as wine fresh.












We stayed at lodgings in the temple(?) on this day.








It had a simple and clean room ,and lucid air was filled there.

It was cheap,but delicious.
