This is the time for "Blackberry & Apple Pie"!
I kept hearing some sort of chanting of my husband saying "I love blackberry and apple pie" for more than a week since the blackberries started to turn gorgeous purple in the field.
As an English man, he thinks he must have it at this time of the year.
Ok, ok, I got your message.
My apple tree has started to drop some apples so I picked them.
All the blackberries came from the near by field.
I'm not so keen on very stodgy pastry for a pie, so made the pie with rough puff pastry.
It's flaky and is most delicious!

この季節になると、夫が私の顔を見るたびに、まるで、念仏を唱えるかの如く、「ブラックべりーとリンゴのパイーー」と口ずさむのです。
先日、ブラックべりー摘みに行って以来、念仏の回数は、極度に増えてきました。
イギリス人というのは、まったくもって、食後の甘いデザートを食べなければ生きていけないかのような存在で、パイやケーキとともに生存しているのです。（この頃の、ヘルシー志向でそうではない方たちも多くはなってきていますが）
あまりの念仏の回数の多さに、こちらもなぜか洗脳され、作ってみようかと。
家のリンゴの木は、ちょっと早いですが、ぽとぽととクズリンゴを落としています。
もったいないですからね、拾いました。
先日、摘んできたブラックベリーはたっぷりとありますし。
ところで、イギリスのパイは生地がどってりと重く、それが私はどうも苦手。
ですので、サクサクのパイ生地を作り、少し甘く煮たリンゴとブラックベリーを入れて焼きました。
サクサクパイの秋の香り。
夫の念仏はすっかり止み、家族中でベリーとパイのバターの香りに誘われ、秋へと一歩。
幸せな時間です。
