If there is one thing most students dislike, it would be tests. But tests however is a good way for us to see how much we've learnt and also to determine what we don't know. Its very encouraging to see that our young students at Raffles language school have approached this year's Junior Eiken tests with great enthusiasm and for some, confidence.
ほとんどの生徒が嫌いなことといえば、テストだと思います。 しかしテストは、私たちがどれくらい学んでいて、また、わからない箇所がどこなのかを判断する良い方法です。 今年もラッフルズの生徒たちが、大きな熱意とある程度の自信を持ってJAPECテストに挑んでいる姿を見ると私たちもとても応援したくなります！
Over the past 2 months, we have been preparing our kindergarden and elementary students to take the Junior Eiken tests from levels 1 to 6 with interview and listening practices during lesson times. The children have vastly improved from when they first started attending lessons with us and our youngest elementary school students are able to ask and answer simple questions in English like "How are you today?"
この2ヶ月の間、私たちは幼稚園と小学生の生徒たちのクラスで、JAPEC１級~6級までの試験対策としてインタビューテストやリスニングの練習を行いました。私たちとレッスンをし始めた当初から比べると子供たちは大幅に上達して、小学校最年少の生徒は「How are you today?」のような簡単な質問を英語で行うことができるようになりました。
Over the past two weeks we have been conducting the Junior Eiken tests on saturdays and quite a number of our students signed up, around 30 of them, to test their proficiency in the English language. Even on a saturday morning, the students were energetic and focused as they did their tests and many went home with a big smile on their faces, and in the case of some of our youngest students a proud declaration that they found the listening component easy. We wish them the best of luck and hope that they will all receive brilliant results for the Junior Eiken test!
2週間にわたりラッフルズで土曜日にJAPEC試験を行い、約30名の生徒たちが自らの英語力を試すために受験しました。たとえ土曜日の朝でも、生徒たちはとても集中してテストを行っていて、ほとんどの生徒たちが顔に大きな笑みを浮かべて帰っていきました。最年少の生徒たちの中には、リスニングパートがとても簡単だった～！と嬉しそうに言っていた子もいました。 私たちは生徒たちみんながすばらしい結果を受け取ることを願っています！
