Keep in mind that the copy matters a great deal for click rates
Once the search targets are properly identified, all other decisions will naturally flow from that. In summary, it is not a winning idea to think about SEO in terms of being a one-hit wonder. The story has it that Google Panda was released precisely to tackle the problem of thin content. You find high quality content on the Internet and then you compile the links on your own blog or website or on your social networking profiles. As time goes on, technology will make it easier and easier to interpret the meaning behind a search query. This will lead to SEOs being able to generate content and offer advice that caters to a much more specific audience and satisfies their needs more completely.
Why metrics matter
Matt Cutts summed up social media pretty well when he said, “When you’ve got 5 minutes to fill, Twitter is a great way to fill 35 minutes.” Basically, social media is going to take a lot of time. All search engines attempt to determine the most important words on a
page, in a tag, or in a link. This is a terrible user-experience and is exactly the opposite of what Google wants. The search engines focus on quality content, with articles that are longer than 2,000 words often being featured on page one. With that in mind, it’s worth scheduling some long-form posts into your content calendar. Some lasts a year or two.
Unconventional knowledge about landing pages that you won't find in books
Sometimes you might spot a particularly juicy keyword when conducting your research. But just because a keyword has high volume, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be a good one to rank for. One of the most effective places to deploy your keywords
is in the first full text block that Google sees, the full URL of each
and every page on your site. In order to have that rank on the search results page, it’s takes a lot of effort and time. Backlink indexing is important for SEO. Another quick and easy strategy for hunting down long tail keywords again starts by searching one of your regular short, generic keywords. At the end of the search results page should be a list of related searches. These again can be used as long tail keywords themselves or used as suggestions for finding others. The more accurate their results, the more often their search engine is used by the public, and the happier they are.
Assessing historical progress and how you've been helped by comment spam
Gaz Hall, from SEO Hull, had the following to say: "SEO takes promotion. Backlinks are a huge part of ranking in Google and in order to attract backlinks (and even social shares) your content needs to be seen . Without shares, backlinks, authority, Google won’t notice your page and you won’t rank." Once you’ve identified opportunities you’ll want to decide on whether to create a new page from scratch or to make changes and improvements to one of your current web pages. Google is looking for answers to the user’s query that provides the answer to the question in a succinct manner. Formatting your HTML and providing content that clearly answers the question will help you rank well. However, we’ve seen some of our clients rank very quickly without being a “brand” by traditional standards. Google says it’s better to give no description for a page than to have many inaccurate and duplicate descriptions but you should make sure your important pages have well-written unique descriptions.Page descriptions shouldn’t be too long or too short. Chances are, your research begins online, whether you’re looking for answers or products.
Education is the best legacy when it comes to rankings
Does your business have an SEO strategy? A great example that I like to point people to is Oxon AA. For your content, this means to scrap the whole thing and write in new content. Long-tail keyword phrases are among the building blocks of an SEO strategy. They are used to optimize copywriting, metadata and link-building strategies. SEO isn’t magic or voodoo. I know some SEO consultants will make you believe they possess magical powers and only they can optimize your website, but don’t listen to them.
Whether a journalist is block-quoting text from another article (like I did above) or an eCommerce site is using the same product name as hundreds of other eCommerce websites, a small bit of duplicate content is inevitable.
Design + search queries = Greatness
Keyword page density is a measure of the relative frequency of the word in the text expressed as a percentage. For example, if a specific word is used 5 times on a page containing 100 words, the keyword density is 5%. If the density of a keyword is too low, the search engine will not pay much attention to it. A www (www.yoursite.com) version and non-www (http://yoursite.com) version of your homepage/website. The best SEO colleagues I have worked with and studied under all have a handful of tools in their arsenal. It’s advised to provide affiliates with the same product feeds that are given to other 3rd party vendors who sell or promote your products. A blog is one of the easiest ways to create a regular stream of SEO content. In general, blog posts are more engaging and more likely to attract links than product pages, so they can be a great way to build some authority for your site.
