 Chojyugiga is a national treasure of a picture scroll, ink on paper which has come down to Takayama temple in Kyoto from the very distant past.

[二代目・山本壹楽の陶歴]

初代壹楽は清川一陶のもとに25年間修行後、五条坂に築窯。
以来、彫をほどこした上に祥瑞や花鳥等を染付し、力強い作風を追求している。
また、赤絵、五彩色絵等も手がけ、作風の広さを示している。

二代目壹楽は先代のもとで約10年間修行を重ね、平成2年壹楽窯を継承する。
磁器を主とし、湯呑や酒器を中心に 京焼の伝統と機能性の一体化を目指し続けている。
先代の作風を踏襲する、彫の上に重厚な染付をほどこした力強い作風を追求している。

　1958年京都に生まれる
　1977年京都市工業試験場陶磁器科修了
　1980年京都府立陶工訓練校成形科修了
　1980年初代壹楽のもとに修行
　1990年初代没後二代目襲名、現在に至る

【Profile of Second Ichiraku YAMAMOTO】

　After the first Ichiraku YAMAMOTO received training from Itto Kiyokawa for 25 years, he soon started his own workshop in Gojozaka in Kyoto.
　Since then, he’d been pursuing the powerful work which were sculpted and drawn many kinds of designs.
　And also colorful designs were known as his one of the greatest designs.

　About the second Ichiraku YAMAMOTO, after he received training from the first for about 10 years, he succeeded to the name of Ichiraku YAMAMOTO.
　His main work is the porcelain, and he’s been trying to create the products that are designed traditionally and have practical use.
　He’s also pursuing the powerful work which are sculpted and drawn many kinds of designs just like the first did.

　　In 1977 Graduated from the Pottery Industrial Experimental Station of Kyoto City
　　In 1980 Graduated from the Potter’s Training School of Kyoto Prefecture
　　From 1980 Received training from the First Ichiraku YAMAMOTO
　　In 1990 After the first died, he was given the name of Ichiraku YAMAMOTO

この器は、日本の酒を飲むものとして作られています。
また、ウイスキーをストレートで召し上がる際にご使用いただいても、ちょうど良いサイズとなっています。
壹楽窯の器で、酒器は小さなサイズのものとなります。
繊細な細工や絵付けがなされており、手のひらにのる、最高の工芸美術品とされています。




商品名はぐい呑みですがサイズ的には、少し大きめのおちょこの大きさです。絵付けする面積が少ない酒器は、より細い筆で繊細な紋様が描かれています。
また、機械ではなく職人の手仕事による壹楽窯独自の「削り」が施されております。

 Sake cups are usually used for taking Japanese Sake. But their sizes are also ideal for taking whisky straight.
 Sake cups are a bit smaller than other table wares of “Ichiraku Kiln”.
 They are painted and carved delicately.
 Therefore, they are known as the highest artworks that you can hold in your hand.

 Although this product name is Guinomi (a name of small sake cup), this cup is a bit bigger than other usual Guinomis. Its size is almost as big as Ochoko (a name of big sake cup). Its patterns are drawn by a brush with a fine point, because it has only small area to be drawn.
 And the cup is carved delicately with craftsman’s hand in a traditional method of “Ichiraku Kiln”.

この作品は、大小2つのサイズが有ります。これは、夫婦で日常的に使う日本の伝統的な茶器のスタイルとなっています。



もちろん、両サイズ共に機械ではなく職人の手仕事による壹楽窯独自の手に馴染む「削り」が施されており、おめでたい吉祥紋で飾られたこの茶器は、いつまでもご夫婦でお使いいただきたい作品です。



壹楽窯の作品は、全て木箱に入れてお届けします。この箱の蓋には、作品名が毛筆で書かれており、清水焼である事を示す「京焼」の印が捺印されています。
また、作者である山本壹楽の名前が同じく毛筆で書かれており、証明となる印が捺印されています。

 We have 2 different sizes for this product. You can purchase from one, but it is recommended to have it in pair. In Japan, it is common for couple to have pair tea cups and this product is made for couples.

 Both size products are carved delicately with craftsman’s hand in a traditional method of “Ichiraku Kiln”.

 We will pack the products you purchased in wooden box for delivery.
 The name of the products is written with brush on the box. And it’s sealed a stamp of “Kyoyaki” which proof that it is a real “Kiyomizuyaki”. And also the name of the potter Ichiraku Yamamoto is written with brush and it’s also sealed a stamp of him.
