Jazz A Vienne has a “Press Point” at the backstage of “Theatre Antique”, one of the most beautiful and biggest venues in Europe capacity nearly 10,000, where my book presentation was held on Monday July 7, 2008 at 7 pm,.
Along with French interpreter Robert Lapassade and nearly 40 international journalists, Fuji presented “The John Coltrane Reference” to Jean-Paul Boutellier, Artistic Director of Jazz A Vienne, and Patrick Curtaud, deputy mayor of Vienne, those who are long-time friends of mine.
Fuji talked about how important French Creole, who created a music “JAZZ” in New Orleans 100 years ago, and “Jazz “ becomes now international music which brings me here every year.

Japanese snack tasting - Kakino-tane (Japanese famous rice cracker and Ko-ume (plum) fascinated attendances.


After the show of SANTANA at “Sporting Club” in Monte-Carlo, Monaco in a series of “Sporting Club Summer Festival” on Wednesday July 9, 2008, surprise was happened at the backstage.
Mr. J.R. (Jean- Rene Palacio) artistic director of “Sporting Club” introduced me “PRENCE”whose real meaning I didn’t know. I thought about he is just like either Rock ‘n Roll star “Prince” or Local celebrity.

Mr. J.R.: Fuji, may I introduce you “PRINCE”?
Fuji: Nice meeting you.
PRINCE: How do you do? What a great book you have.
Fuji: Thank you so much. I am author of two books of John Coltrane whose music also Mr. Carlos Santana likes so that we are long-time friends since 1990. I will introduce you to him later on. Anyway, let me give you my business card for your nexy visiting in Osaka especially my house for dinner like Mr. Carlos. Here is my home address as well as e-mail. So, please send me your e-mail in advance if you have any chance to come to Osaka, Japan and you will be my guest enjoying our cooking real Sushi, Tmepura and Okonomi-yaki as well as seeing my Coltrane memorabilia collection - The best in the world!

He was the real Prince Albert of Monaco, son of Grace Kelly, who doesn't have any e-mail address nor business card.

Another book presentation was happened at the bookstore “la Feltrinelli” Corso Pietro Vannucci, Perugia, Italy on Tuesday July 15, 2008 at 11 am, my 55th birthday.
Interpreter Iain Adams introduced me among many of international journalists. Fuji presented two books to Antonio Misciena, owner of EGEA Records, and photographer Adriano Scognamillo whose photos are used for Santana official web-site, booklet on tour and calendar.

Dragon and Herena from Belgrade, Serbia presented birthday cake with “55” candle on celebrating my 55th birthday. Three local newspapers reported about me and my book right next day.
