哀しくて寂しくて、涙が頬を伝う冬の日。
夜空を見上げたとき、まるで星が私と一緒に泣いているように感じました。
神様が “私がそばにいるよ” と語りかけてくれるような気がして——
そんな想いから生まれた曲です。
構想は2007年から持っていましたが、
二本柳一明さんのアレンジによって新しい息吹を吹き込まれました。
二本柳さんのピアノ、伊藤雅昭さんのギター、
おおいずみこうめいさんのコーラスとともに紡いだこの曲、

My new song “Midnight Cry” is out today.
On a winter day, filled with sadness and loneliness,
tears streamed down my cheeks.
When I looked up at the night sky,
it felt as though the stars were crying with me.
And somehow, I felt that God was whispering,
“I am here with you.”
This song was born from that feeling.
I first envisioned it back in 2007,
but thanks to Kazuaki Nihonyanagi’s beautiful arrangement,
the song has been given a new breath of life.
Together with Nihonyanagi’s piano,
Masaaki Ito’s guitar,
and Koumei Ooizumi’s gentle chorus,
we’ve woven this piece with care.
