イギリス人は日本戦艦を美しいと思わない人が多いそうです
波打った船体に、ごてごてした艦橋、なにより斜めに突き出た煙突が気に入らないらしいです
なるほど、三笠に見られるビクトリア様式のような、直線的な様式美が、この一風変わったネルソン級にもみられます。
文化的に見るのもなかなか面白いですね
高さですが、ネルソン級のころはレーダー技術は発達してないので、砲術的に高さにこだわった日本と、艦橋の容積にこだわって余裕のある(積み上げなくてもいい)イギリスの差かもしれません?
