【 What percentage of your time is applied for
long-term accomplishment of your goal? 】
"When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a
stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a
hundred times without as much as a crack showing
in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will
split in two, and I know it was not that blow that
did it, but all that had gone before."
---Jacob Riis
We are apt to deal with only urgent things.
Moreover, we tend to be fascinated only with the one
that the result comes out at once.
Are you working on something like this stonecutter?
Are you sparing time of every day to the activity that
will give birth to the big result some day?

【 Thought on the importance of preparation... 】
The following word is well known.
"Today's preparation determines tomorrow's achievement."
---Unknown
That's for sure!
Though I could tell the deep meaning of the word
through reading a different word.
"Instead of thinking about where you are, think about
where you want to be. It takes twenty years of hard
work to become an overnight success."
---Diana Rankin
There might be unobserved and unwearied preparation
before someone becomes famous.
Is that you?

【 A new idea different from the former is acccepted in this way 】
“First, it is ridiculed.

the frequency and time to talk with ourselves.

【 DMD of earphones 】
I occasionally study the book and the content of the seminar
by using "ipod mini" while moving.
However I could not catch contents when the car passed nearby
and when I took the train :(
So...as you can see the photo, I have changed my earphones
from the left to the right!
Difference that Makes Difference (DMD) between two types of
earphones is the degree of adhesion to my ears.
As for the earphone of the right type, a part to insert in an
ear is wrapped in rubber and fits form of an earhole.
Then, a sound leak cannot be carried out and the contents can
be catched well with small volume, without being disturbed by
noise.
I feel that moving learning efficiency rose since I begin to
use new earphones.
A change of earphones is right one example of a SMALL difference
that makes a BIG difference!
What kind of DMD did you discover recently?

【 Evaluation items for selection of cafe spending long time 】
These days I come to want to spend long time in the cafe!
However, there are conditions in the cafe regarded as long time
being spent ;)
My cafe evaluation basis is shown below.
(1) Non-Smoking <-- an absolute requirement
(Separation of facilities for smokers and nonsmokers does not
function as far as I know. Because I can notice poisonous
fine particles flow into a no smoking area even if a cafe
distributes a floor of no smoking and smoking, and also a
cafe divides them by doors.)
(2) Brightness of lighting (5〜1 point(s))
(3) I can see the outside. (3〜1 point(s))
I want to rest my eyes occasionally seeing the outside when I
stay the cafe for a long time.
(4) BGM (5〜1 point(s))
Volume, Tempo, Category
(5) People who come to the cafe (5〜1 point(s))
I can stay in the cafe which has people who is reading, studying,
or talking on business. But I escape the cafe which has people
who is killing their time by loud chatting.
(6) External environment (3〜1 point(s))
For example I cannot stay long in the cafe in a shopping district,
or near high schools. And also in the cafe which is shaken whenever
a train goes.
(7) Rest rooms (3〜1 point(s))
Area and cleanliness
(8) Staff's correspondence and service (3〜1 point(s))
(9) Price and taste of drinks (5〜1 point(s))
What do you think about these criteria?
By the way, today I arrange to meet a person in a cafe of 24(/32)
points of the evaluation. Is this good? :)
Bye,
Jun

(7) Rest rooms (3〜1 point(s))
Area and cleanliness
(8) Staff's correspondence and service (3〜1 point(s))
(9) Price and taste of drinks (5〜1 point(s))
What do you think about these criteria?
By the way, today I arrange to meet a person in a cafe of 24(/32)

Bye,
Jun
