First Nation Studies

ただ、she told me it depends on time and what kind of activity we will do. so I have to send email to her as soon as possible.

Parties

しっかし、中国人のGary(改名 ポンフェイの方ね)は自分の世界作ってくれるな。

Happy Birthday!!20

Procrastinating...

This weekend I have a lot of assignment such as readings of 3 books for first nation studies, 1 for anthropology and 2 for tourism studies. Besides, the due days of 2 papers for tourism and anthropology classes are coming. However, obviously I am procrastinating them. I don't feel like doing too much stuff. They just drive me crazy.I already forget how to write a paper, Haha. Although the weather is so GOOD today, I stay at home all the day. Umm.. therefore I try to do YOGA tonight! At first I thought my body is still supple because I used to dance ballet. However, my body is sucks now. I can't bend my body without pain...Does it mean that im getting older?! I decide to do stretching every night after taking shower. I'm sure it works, but the problem is whether I can keep it or not. No effort will lead to success, which is true of studying.
Study hard", my favourite sister told me the other day. She is Mexican and can speak Spanish, French ans English. She graduated from the University in Montreal and now serves as a missionary. She and I came to Nanaimo at the same day, therefore I feel empathy to her. Unfortunately she will be transfered soon. I hope I can meet her again.

Tour&Farewell Birthday Party

Religion in life

Since I came to Canada, religion in usual life has become familiar with me. The reason is that my host family believe in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day-Saints, which is called Mormon and probably famous in Japan as well. I'm not sure about the difference among other Catholic churches; however, the Book of Mormon seems to be the clue item for believers. The book of Mormon is translated by Joseph Smith, the Creator of Mormon and the first prophet. The more believers read the book deeply, the closer they can be to Jesus Christ. The discipline teaches people how to live healthy such as no alcohol, smoking, drugs, obedience, and commandment and so on.

Every Sunday believers go to church, where people pray for the heavenly father, who is Jesus Christ. After the meeting at chapel, people divide into small classes to discuss the topic which changes every Sunday. The classes are varied from genders like kids to ladies or gentlemen. They sing Hymns and talk about marriage, which is mostly young girls’ topics, and other topics are how to raise and teach children. Therefore, people learn about Jesus at church from 9-12 o’clock.

Except for Sunday, missionaries called sisters and elders visit believers’ houses once a week. They have dinner together with believers, and after that they teach something about the book of Mormon or the Bible. Above all, these are the fundamental knowledge that I have learned and experienced so far.

Now is the main point. I feel that the discipline controls the way of thinking and their lifestyles too much. Believers have to pay 10% of their income, which supports the church organization. Their lifestyle is all based on the book of Mormon and the Bible. Sometimes it works positively such as belief that believers get the eternal life, which reduces sorrow and fear of death. However, they are so obedient to the books that sometime they suffer from the dilemma between the reality and their ideals. They are enthusiastic and passionate to the religion, which makes me surprised and feel awkward. Since I don't have any religion, it's been surprising to me. Anyway, I have no intention to be christian. Although I like loverly sisters and they give me the book of Mormon Japanese version, I don't still get the way of thinking. Not understanding, just acceptance is enough for me.

Fall

"I don't force you, I just let you know there are lots of students waiting for the seat in Tourism Studies" or sth like that.
そんなのdoesn't make sense です。

(Plagiarism?!)
