ある者はGotharが今日ある全てのものを創造したと言い、
そして我々がしばしば地中深くや砂漠から発見する遺跡は、極めて正確に言及されているElfの記録よると、古の伝説的な巨人と奇怪な生物のものである。
このスタンスだと、偉大なる神を小型な昆虫から巨大な怪物までの生物を監視することに時間を費やす会計士の類にしてしまう。しかし、率直に考えて、神が個々の山猫に鋭い牙、次に山猫の獲物の脚、次にこれ、次にあれ、といったように際限なく変化させ続けたら、その脚はとても効率的なモノになり、山猫は獲物を補食できず死に至るだろう、同様に牙が鋭すぎれば、獲物の繁殖に問題が起こり種は潰えるだろう。はっきり言って、この考えは理解できない。化石収集家の私の個人的見解は、Gotharは種を創り、その後は種自身に生きさせたがっているということである。彼は、野原に種を蒔いて、自然に世話を任せる農民に似ている。あなたは全ての種を見守る農民を想像できますか?定期的に踏み荒らされ不毛になったときに、それは多大な時間の損失であり、その野原自体を害するだろう・・・
その上で、皆がこのことを知っている「神は我々を世話しすぎない方が良く、彼らは全てを踏みにじるかもしれないが・・・」

Where did the seeds come from?
種は一般的な植物のように広がった。私の仲間と私には種が最初に展開した場所に関して意見の相違があります。空中で?海中で?私個人はあらゆる栄養が豊富な沼地の泥の中で始まったと信じています。あくまでも個人的見解ですが。如何にしてこれらの小さな種が成長を始めたのかは誰も知らない。非常に小さいため、奇妙な拡大装置を使用しているGnomeでさえ見ることが出来ない。もしそれらに脚の類があるならば、その小さい脚で走り他の種を捕食しているのは確実です・・・

The Troll system
I will start my story from the time when we can understand things a little better: from the time when living things went out of their original place, water, air, more or less smelly places, in order to spread on the solid and empty grounds of Ganareth, and get a more decent size, allowing an easier observation.
Please allow me to digress for some time. Minuscule beings still exist nowadays, and clerics I know believe that these beings are responsible for some of our health problems, for instance when we start to sneeze like disgustig Gnomes when spring comes. They say that tiny beings enter our hose and tickle our nostrils, which creates this well-known and sometimes unclean explosion (especially when you forgot your handkerchief). Allow me to laugh at this hypothesis, however: in the name of Gothar, why would these tiny animals enter our Elf or Human noses? To find something to eat? Do they hope to found a family? To build a town? A whole civilization maybe? Well these have to be very twisted thoughts! Now, back to the topic: beings we can see, from the swamp Zinzin to the largest dragon. So-called specialists with strange ideas tried to sort them according to different criteria, running on the ground or flying in the air, eating plants or flesh... Nonsense! O noble and wise scientists, please tell me which category dragons belong to, since they can both attack you from the skies, or, for a change, run after you and be faster than a dodo? What about the sucking Glargnub, that can feed on either fruits or your own blood?
The first remotely acceptable classification has been made by Trolls. At first glance, they have rustic manners, but they have plenty of good sense and could be a source of inspiration to many twisted minds. They divide living things in two categories : those that move, and those that don’t.
In the category of things that don’t move, you will find most plants, with the exception of the carnivorous Zlub and the like, that are deeply rooted like plants, but with teeth like animals. If you ever came too close to a carnivorous Zlub, you know that it is undoubtedly a moving thing!
And in the category of things that don’t move, they put everything else. Simple and direct. But this is not enough for a truely scientific mind.

The Orc system

Everybody knows that Orcs have a strong sense of family, and they wanted to improve the Troll system a little. For instance, among "those that don’t move", they wanted to make the distinction between those they could eat, and those they couldn’t. Let us honour this courageous endeavour, that made many Orc scientists die in horrible stomach pains: knowledge has a price. Let us also honour the improvements the Dark Elves made, by using war prisoners to test their plant mixtures, thus avoiding many personal problems.
However, it is advised to chain the guinea-pic tightly. I remember one of my friends, about twenty years ago, who died painfully: the plant mixture he gave to one of his test subjects turned out to be a very efficient tonic. My friend enjoyed the pleasure of this discovery for a very short time, thirty seconds exactly. Then his prisoner tore his limbs apart. I may add that the formula he used has been lost in the incident, but you need to know that my friend used to get his herbs from the swamps. Any takers? What you can and cannot eat, to get back to the topic. With a heavy price. But there are flaws in the system. For instance, Gnomes love various kinds of root stews that no civilized being can possibly enjoy. And we will not even mention Dwarven meals for the sake of decency. Moreover, an additional complexity appeared when Lutins tried to merge their system with the Orc classification. It was quite a nasty mess, I tell you.

The Lutin system

To me, Lutins created all this mess on purpose. They simply love confusion. To make a long story short, they said that it was not enough to make a difference between what was edible and what was not, but that it put many other aspects aside. For instance, Granpat guts, which are edible, have elastic properties, whereas Zlub fibers, also with elastic properties, aren’t edible. Thorns from many plants have the same use in war as a Zmorglub’s horn, for instance: either a plant or an animal, both make very useful reinforced clubs. So, according to Lutins, a classification between hard and soft, between stiff and elastic, between light and dark, between translucent and opaque, was something necessary.

The Human system

It is common knowledge that Humans have a strange mind. They must have thought Lutins didn’t do enough, and they wanted to introduce the notion of what they call "scientific substance" of things. For instance, the fact that both Baboukh and a Zmorglub lay eggs was supposed to mean that there was a kind or relationship between them! Whoever saw, even from a distance (which is much safer), both these creatures, knows for sure that they don’t have the slightest thing in common! The human theory made everybody in Ganareth laugh heartily. Only a few lost souls keep on trying to divide living things according to cold and warm-blooded animals, number of legs, or the fact that they nurse their babies or not. Tell me, do the nasty Glargnub (which flies, attacks and sucks your blood) and the Chlabs (that runs around you with joy, and sometimes urinates on your babouches) have the slightest thing in common? Let us put the Humans and their fantasies aside, and study the only system that has a real value: the Elf system.

The noble Elf system

Touchy people will notice that I didn’t mention the Darf, Gnome and Faery systems, and there is a good reason! They are only accurate for their own interests. Dwarves, who live inside mountains, have one hundred and twenty seven names for worms, and only one for flying beings. I understand that it’s hard for them to look upwards, because of their heavy helmets, but... Allright, I stop making fun of them. Some of them are quite enjoyable fellows, I must admit. Well, sometimes they are. I could say the same thing about Gnomes, who knows nothing but what splashes, dabbles and eructates in their dearest swamps; or Fairies, who are so light-headed that I would be surprised if they had more than ten words for those they call "the ground crew". They call us Elves "Vain ground crew", you can imagine the rest...

Back to the noble system, ours. Until we find proof to the contrary, this system is the most comprehensive there is. It goes back to the source: gods and world creation. I know. In the beginning of this essay, I told that you shouldn’t believe all this nonsense. But it is quite possible to create a solid theory of a mediocre basis. All you need to do is to avoid digging too much... So, Gothar created the nine gods. No, do not ask me who created Gothar, this is not the topic here. Each of the nine gods protected one people, but everybody knows there was more than nine. Korrgians, aerial beings, were destroyed in year 99. Morgans, who lived in the ground, and Kells, in the icy lands, who destroyed each other in the Great Quareel in 666. Well, this is what people say. Maybe there are a few left, somewhere in a secluded place. Time will tell.
This 666 event was the origin of the creation of these nine entities, and everybody knows their names by heart:

Galina, mother of Birds

Maam, mother of Mammals

Elytra,, mother of Insects

Reptansa, mother of Reptiles

Coccifera, mother of animated Plants

Nithuma, mother of the Living Dead

Placeeb, mother of Spirits

Diplood, mother of Colossuses

Daemonia, mother of Demons

I can already hear criticisms. People will tell: what about the Zourit, a soft and smart animal that lives in the sea? What about the man-eater, with a fish tail and (generally good-looking) breasts? What about the Hninu, a mix of a troll and a beast? What about the Gober of Io and many fish species that look a lot like it? Which category do they belong to? Some will even ask if there should be a difference between the living-dead that were originally Trolls, Gors, Chlabs or anything else. Or if an especialy strong Brave can be considered a Colossus.
Do you want to know my answer to all these questions ? "Go ahead, make a better system!"
It is quite easy to criticise, but it is much harder to create something better than my own theory! So for now, let us admit that Maam, mother of all Mammals, really lives in the constellation of the Great Reaper (note that I don’t believe it myself), and that she rules over animals that are as diverse as a Gor and a HarGarkh. Let us admit that the Hninu, half troll and half beast, is torn apart between Malecta, goddess of Trolls, and Maam, or even Agnar, which could explain why it has such a bad temper.
Let us admit that the man-eater has something of a Demon, of a Human, something of a Reptile, which makes her a creature of Daemonia, Gothar and Reptansa, and something of a fish, which apparently makes her a creature of nothing specific. This very special mix could explain many things about the psychology of this creature. This is the proof that science always meets reason, provided it is well put.
Finally, let us admit that I have grown tired of explaining this to you, so I will say it straight away: now leave me alone.

Sorcerer specificities

Immortal Skaareliusによって教えられるSorcerer classは、全てのSpell casterが志すClassだよ。特化することによって、 NecromancerとかIllusionistになれるよ。

Humans, Half-Elves, Wood Elves, High Elves, Dark Elves and Fairies may specialize as a sorcerer.


Citizen description:
全キャラクター共通のもので、以下の3つのbasic skills二分類されるよ。body activities (swimming, running, jumping)/social activities (trade, languages)/magic (healing, public teleporter useage).


Spell caster description:
level 5から以下のbasic spell caster skillsにアクセス可能だよ。classic fireball/罠感知のためのice shard/invisibilityと戦闘脱出するためのWarpのscrolls作成。passive skillには、mana regenerateとHPを増加させるmagic shieldがあるよ。


Sorcerer description:
level 20から以下の3種に派生する。fire, cold and electricity

Fire mastery offers a set of classic skills:
fireball, flaming weapon, flame shot, fire wall, fire resistance buff/debuff, そして、甚大なdmgを与えるmeteor rainがあるよ。

Cold mastery:
この系統のSpellは、ice damageを与えたり、対象を地面に凍り付かせたり、weapon enchantや、対象の移動速度減少、そして広範囲にわたる甚大なDmgをもたらすcold explosionとかがあるよ。cold resistance buff/debuffもあるよ。

Electricity mastery:
lightningやchain lightning spellsが使用可能になり、caster周辺に対象をたたきのめしたり対象のmanaを吸収したりするshockwaveを発生させれるよ。多くのsorcererの究極の目標であるDisintegrationは、全てのManaを消費することによって、単一の対象に甚大なDmgを与えるよ。


Equipment:
Sorcerersは他のspell caster classesと同様にclothes/robesを装備可能だよ。他のarmorとかshieldは使用不可だよ。武器はknife/1H-rods/slingshotsに制限されるよ。 しかしながら、Sorcerersは1H/2Hのmagic wandsを使用可能だよ。

Skaarélius, the Sorcerer



From travelers’ accounts from the most distant lands, and from the most terrifying of legends. Here is what we know about Skaarélius the Sorcerer. Sent onto Ganareth by his father, Gothar, to eliminate the Dragons.

Skaarélius could appear anywhere on Ganareth, his staff in hand, wrapped within a long and frightening black coat. On the top of his staff was a small sphere, which many believed was made out of moon stone, as it seemed to radiate some strange energy.

Skaarelius would then walk the empty plains, searching for rare components he needed for some potion with obscure effects. In the village of Morteplaine when he once came, people were living in fear of the repeated attacks from Dériagul the Dragon and his horde.

On a dark night, the village was attacked once again. Men rushed out to defend their village, into a bloody battle. Skaarelius was watching the scene from behind, murmuring words in the language of gods. The tip of his staff created a light globe that grew wider as his voice grew louder. The sphere became enormous and seemed like the fire in a volcano, surrounded by lighting.

With a swift move, Skaarelius pointed his staff towards Dériagul, the Dragon who was leading the attack. The fire ball struck him, leaving only destruction in its wake, and he disappeared. The other Dragons became furious and got ready for retaliation. Skaarelius then raised his hands to the Dark moon and uttered a another spell, more powerful than the previous one, and meteors rained from the skies, a blinding white light followed as they hit the monster hordes, dealing a death blow to them. The thick cloud of black dust that was formed after the impact eventually settled, and people could see a desolate and devastated village. Some say nothing ever managed to grow where the meteors had since fallen. Victory had a bitter taste, and the village was abandoned.

Skaarelius remained alone among the ruins and corpses. Rumor has it that during the time he remained in Morteplaine, he mixed Dériagul’s ashes and meteor dust, in order to create a potion allowing him to teleport at will. None of his disciples know the formulae he used for this purpose. Some say his adepts repeatedly tried to get this information from him, but nobody ever succeeded.

Many sorcerers say that, before Skaarelius disappeared, he hid much of his knowledge in his own staff. There is a risk that his staff could fall into the hands of a powerful sorcerer, and nobody knows what would happen then. His enemies certainly wouldn’t stand a chance, that is for certain.続きを読む

Immortal Vahalkenによって教えられるRanger classはHunters が自然と志すClassだよ。特化してBardやThiefにもなれるよ。

Humans, Half-Elves, Wood Elves, Lutins, Half-Trolls, Braves and Half-Orcs may specialize as a Ranger.


Citizen description:
全キャラクター共通のもので、以下の3つのbasic skills二分類されるよ。body activities (swimming, running, jumping)/social activities (trade, languages)/magic (healing, public teleporter useage).


Hunter description:
level 5から、以下のHunter skillsにアクセス可能だよ。これらのskillsはキャラクターに、bows, short swords and daggersの熟達を与えるよ。また、それらによって、獲物の追跡、移動速度U増加、対象の移動速度減少が可能だよ。Rangersは、本職のexplorerには劣るもののcartographyの基礎知識を有するよ。


Ranger description:
level 20で以下の3種に派生するよ。traps/bow and slingshot mastery/tracking skills.



Traps: a Ranger may detect, defuse and set traps in the open, and can also turn him/herself into a bomb. Some skills increase trap and bomb efficiency, some other skills decrease the damage of the bomb on the Ranger, increasing his/her chances of survival.


Bow and slingshot mastery: these skills allow the Ranger to fire multiple missiles at the same time and to enhance the damage from critical hits. A Ranger may also bypass some magical defences and damage an opponent’s shield and armour.




Tracking: a Ranger’s sight is far better than anyone else’s, allowing him/her to detect enemies from a greater distance. A Ranger may also share his personal map with his team mates, the quality of which depends on the number of skill points invested. Finally, a Ranger who specializes in Tracking can come close to a prey without being noticed, as if he/she were invisible, and to deal a critical blow in case of success. The best Rangers are even able to deal this kind of blows to a whole group of enemies. The range of this attack depends on the amount of skill points invested.



Outfit: a Ranger may use, at best, leather armour, and cannot use a Great Shield. Most commonly used melee weapons are knives, short and long swords, and one-handed staves. There is also a wide choice of distance weapons, from slingshots to throwing knives, to light crossbows to many types of bows.

Vahalken, the Ranger


From travelers’ accounts from the most distant lands,
From the most ancient legends,
Here is what we still know about Vahalken the Ranger.

Vahalken travelled in the darkest and strangest forests in Ganareth, sent by Gothar to find the most terrible Dragons.

As he walked along a stream running between two menacing cliffs, he felt in the air, in the trees and on the ground, that a Dragon was around, spreading havoc. He found many tracks showing creatures chasing the monster, but none of these people seemed fast enough or clever enough to interpret the marks, as the monster seemed very clever and cunning.

Vahalken started to study the tracks, watching and listening to things he was the only one able to decipher: the murmur of the wind in the leaves, the marks on the trunks, the stones, the soil, guided his steps. It seems he learned a lot about the forests and its inhabitants this way. He spent thirty moons looking for the Dragon’s nest, and eventually found it.

The beast’s lair was empty. The monster was probably spreading devastation, destruction and death somewhere else. Vahalken did not wait for him with his arms crossed. He moved stones, pulled stings and dug holes. He hid his trap with so much art and care that, when the Dragon came back to his nest, the mighty trees around it trapped him as he entered. The Dragon belched fire to destroy the trap, but water from a stream was flowing upon them, protecting them from the fire.

Then the last trap phase started: huge rocks fell from the cliff and buried the dragon. Then everything was silent again, the forest was now quiet, and the stream flowed on, dyed in red from the Dragon’s blood.

When the water was pure once again, Vahalken drank from it. Some say that, since then, Vahalken was never tired anymore, and even smarter when chasing his targets. He was never hungry, and his eyes could see things further than anyone else’s, except his father Gothar’s eyes.

Many started to search for this spring, but nobody ever found it. It is said, however, that Vahalken kept some of its water in a vial and always kept it with him, until the day he disappeared.

Legend has it that anyone who drinks this water will learn many of Vahalken’s secrets he kept for himself until he died, as he thought his disciples were not wise enough, or not learned enough, to be told about this...続きを読む

Divine interventions:
熟練者はとても神に近く、しばしば、彼らの助けに応えくれるよ。Spell効果はその対象の信仰する神の派閥に基づいてるよ。casterは、敵対する神の信徒や、場所、Itemといったものにdivine markを付与できるよ。このmarkは、divine protectionやteleporterとして使用されたり、また、そのClericの力が強大ならば、重大な局面から回復をも可能にするよ。


Combat against the Undead:
これらのskillsによって、Clericのweaponとshieldに対Undead効果を付与したり、術者周辺のUndeadの出現を抑制したり、 NecromancersやDark Knightsが召還したUndeadのLinkを断ち切れるよ。高位のClericsは十分に距離が近ければUndeadを灰に帰すよ。


Healing:
この道はClericsにとっては王道だね。同勢力の者をCureしたり、diseasesやcursesを取り除いたり、彼らのHPを回復させたり、HPの上限を増加させたり出来るよ。最高位のClericsは蘇生も可能だよ。




Equipment:
Clericsの使用可能なweaponsとarmourの種類はいくつかに制限されるよ。cloth, robes and chain-mailのみが装備可能ね。ranged weaponsとしてslingshotsとknives、melee weaponsとして 1Hのstavesとmacesが使用可能だよ。また、small/medium shieldsとmagic wandsも装備できるよ。

Guerhoan, the Cleric



Thanks to traveler tales from the most distant lands, and from the most ancient of legends. Here is what we know about the great deeds of Guerhoan, the first Cleric.

Guerhoan was sent onto Ganareth by Gothar, the Great, in order to restore order and balance by eliminating the most dangerous Dragons. In order to assist him in his delicate mission, Gothar granted him with extraordinary powers from the magic he had used to create the Moon, the original Mana.

Guerhoan traveled on Ganareth for many years, fighting his own way. Some say he healed and even resurrected many victims of the war against Dragons. From this dark age, many remember the meadows and their many corpses devastated by the Lord Dragon Detharoth’s furious anger. Legend has it that nothing could better describe about his fury and his cruelty than the trail of corpses he left behind him.

On a dark and moonless night, as he walked through the moor, Guerhoan heard muffled groans, and as he walked around a large grove he found Detharoth. Detharoth was lying on the dried grass, covered with his victims’ blood and his own alike, and Guerhoan realized he was wounded. Detharoth had noticed Guerhoan, and was now staring at him. As Guerhoan raised his hands to the sky and called for Gothar’s power in order to put an end to the Dragon’s life, their eyes met. Guerhoan cast such a powerful spell that the sky in the region was illuminated. When the first light of dawn appeared, the legend says the Dragon woke up, all his wounds were healed, and he stared at Guerhoan for a while as he slept near him.

After this episode, nobody ever heard about Lord Dragon Detharoth, for nobody knows what happened to him afterwards.
When Guerhoan woke up, he found shining scales nearby and made a coat out of them. Guerhoan’s famous coat is rumored to grant its wearer with the ability to resurrect the dead and cure the living without using any mana energy. Some often say that if an experienced cleric wears this coat, he is able to use attacks that can be as powerful as the one that was used against Detharoth.

When the time had come, Guerhoan gave all his knowledge to his disciples. These people worshiped him without any reservations and built temples in his honour. Note:
この記述はゲームマニュアルに代わるものじゃないし、すべての情報は含まれてないよ。参考程度にしてね。

Immortal Arkorakによって教えられるWarrior classは全ての fighterの拡大解釈であり、Dark KnightsやPaladinsやArchersとして特化可能だよ。

Humans, Half-Elves, Wood-Elves, Dwarves, Half-Trolls, Braves and Half-Orcs may specialize as Warriors.


Citizen description:
全キャラクター共通のもので、以下の3つのbasic skills二分類されるよ。body activities (swimming, running, jumping)/social activities (trade, languages)/magic (healing, public teleporter useage).


Fighter description:
level 5からbasic fighting skillsにアクセスできるよ。多くのskillsはpassiveで、statistics (constitution, stamina, resistances), weapon and shield efficiency, attack speedを増加させるよ。


Warrior description:
level 20から、以下の3種に派生するよ。classic weapon mastery/war cries(戦闘中)/special thrusts(要Mana)



Weapon mastery:
このskillによって、warriorは遠距離weaponsを使用可能になるよ。この系統にフォーカスしたWarは全ての武器を使用可能になり、二刀流(ペナあり)、そして対象のarmour classを減少させれるよ。Level 35で、複数の攻撃、Knockbackつきの打撃、two-handed swordsの二刀流?が可能になるよ。


War cries:
Criesは、以下の3系統に分類されるよ。increase statistics (strength増加とか)/increase team member statistics (run speed増加とか)/attack the opponent (freeze, panic, wound)


Secret thrusts:
この3つ目の派生Skillは、多量のManaを要する特殊攻撃を可能にするよ。いろいろな種類の攻撃があって、ブーメランのように武器を扱ったり、特殊なstance使用による対missiles防御の増加 (physical/magic共に)、対象を飛び越えたり、投げ技とかを可能にするよ。



Equipment:
Warriorはrobes以外の全てのarmourを使用可能だよ。また、2H-stavesを除く全てのweaponと、shuriken/long bow /heavy crossbowを除く全てのranged weaponが使用可能だよ。最後に どんな種類のshieldも使用可能だよ。

Arkorak, the Warrior

here is what we know about the great deeds of Arkorak the Warrior.

Arkorak was sent onto Ganareth by Gothar the Great to restore order and balance by fighting the most ferocious Dragons. In order to assist him in his task, Gothar gave him an outfit with extraordinary powers, which he had created the same way he created the Moon, with the Mana of the early times. Arkorak will be remembered as the one who, among the fourteen messengers of Gothar, fought the Dragons with the most relentless and ferocious attitude.

Out of his countless fights, the one that is remembered the most, is against a huge dragon in the citadel of Esquerine. The people who survived the attack of this gigantic dragon, and Gothar knows /
they were very few, witnessed the most fabulous combat they ever saw. Here is, in substance, what was told:

When Arkorak entered the citadel of Esquerine, more than a hundred souls had passed away. There was only a handful of the wounded left, that had escaped the frightful beast’s claws and jaws. In order to protect them, Arkorak faced the dragon and hit him many times with his sword and axe. His weapons were moving so fast and were dealing such powerful blows that the dragon was forced to step back and soon had his back against the wall of the fortress. His powerful claws hit Arkorak several times, and he too was forced to step back as well.

It is said that this fight lasted for three days and three nights before it came to an end. Both fighters were facing each other when the sun rose for the fourth time, exhausted, wounded, and out of breath. When the first rays of light hit the place, Arkorak gathered his strength and, in a last effort, he rushed towards the monster whilst shouting. People say his shouting froze the beast completely, he then drove his sword into the beast’s heart. Witnesses say Arkorak was then covered with the dragon’s blood, mixed with his own. Legend has it that from this day on, his armour, covered with dragon blood, became extraordinarily strong.

According to legend, the dragon’s blood sometimes mixes with the blood of the warrior who wears this armour, and for a short moment, grants him with tremendous strength. Some say that disciples of Arkorak tried to wear the armour and went mad because of it, and that only a very powerful warrior would, one day, be able to use it. Some also say that in order to protect other warriors from losing their souls as well, the armour parts were hidden in different places in Ganareth, guarded by very powerful beings.続きを読む

1.9でRaidTimerの扱いを著しく変更するよ。新システムでは君のInstanceが何時Saveされたかにかかわらず、メンテ時にResetされるよ。下記が各InstanceのTimerね。

Molten Core: 7日毎で定期メンテ時にReset

Blackwing Lair: 7日毎で定期メンテ時にReset

Temple of Ahn’Qiraj (40-man): 7日毎で定期メンテ時にReset

Onyxia: 5日毎

Zul'Gurub: 3日毎

Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj (20-man): 3日毎

このResetは、仮に定期メンテが無いときでも、ActiveなRaidが少ない時を狙って行われるよ。君たちがRaidの予定建てやすいように公式にカレンダーとか置くつもりだよ。何で、こんなシステムにするかって言うのはね、この方法が一番良さげだったからだよ。

Reset時間が迫った状態で(残り24時間を切ったら)、もしInstanceに居る場合は、1時間毎に告知するよ。15分切ったら、より頻繁に告知するね。んで、Reset時間に到達したら、全RaidMemberはBindPointに飛ばされるよ。君は/raidinfoを通して状態を確認できるし、InstanceにZoneしたときに状態を確認できるようになるよ。

この変更はRaidを行うGuildにとって重要になるから、多くのプレイヤーにとって便利になるように最善を尽くしたんだよ。1.9がLive鯖に来た瞬間、全てのSaveされてるInstanceはResetされるからヨロシク。

Scarab Wallの外に隊伍を組んだ無言の目撃者を生み出したSilithusの砂原に、真昼の太陽が容赦なく照りつける。

それは最下層の通路へと続いており、orbは大群が崩壊するまで降り注ぐ容赦ない熱波を止めているように見えた。

落ち着きのない隊列の中で、一人のnight elfが熟考しながら佇んでいた。彼女の仲間たちは殆ど崇拝に近い賞賛の眼差しで彼女を見ていた。既知の土地に住むあらゆる種族の中から集められた代表者たちは彼ら自身の種族的な偏見で彼女を見ていた。結局、night elvesとtrolls/taurenの様なものたちの間の血統の争いは数世紀にさかのぼった。 *

しかしながら、彼らの連合には何の問題も無く、その日の戦いに集った全ての者が、そのnight elfに抱いた感情は尊敬でした。 Shiromarは冷静で動揺もせず、しり込みしない太陽のようでした。それらの気質はここ数ヶ月の間彼女に役立っており、全てが失われたときも、探索が果てしないものに見えたときも、そして、彼女の仲間たちが諦めたときにも、彼女に強さを与えました。

watcherとCaverns of Timeが存在していた。そこにはbronze dragonとBroodlordそして 徘徊する昆虫の巣があった。shardsとそれを護るもの、ancient dragonsが存在し、彼らの責務を簡単に断念しなかった。威圧と巧妙さ、そして完全なる暴力によって、その仕事をこなしていた。

そして、これら全てのことはひとつのItemのためであり、そのItemは現在Shiromarの手に握られていた。1000年の後に作り直されたthe Scepter of the Shifting Sandsである。

結局、全ての道はSilithus、そしてScarab Wallの門へと導いていた。笏が砕かれた、この地へ。

Shiromarは空を見上げ、dragonsにより陽が遮られた時のことを思い出した。Qirajiとsilithidが果て無き波となりnight elvesの故郷にあふれかえった時のことを。望みが闇に落ちたときのことを。仮にそれらのひどい月日を乗り越えたものは居なかったとしたら。しかし、彼女はここに立っていた、Shifting Sandsの戦いの間の数年に渡り彼女らの生活を救ってきた聖なる防壁の前に・・・

Fandral Staghelm and Valstann Staghelm
Fandral Staghelmは傍にいる息子Valstannに管理を指導していた。彼らは尽きることなく流れてくるsilithidから保護されている彼らの側面であるその峡谷を選択した。 Shiromarは前線の後ろ近くで彼女の力が許す限り速く呪文を詠唱していた。

They had fought their way to the mouth of the gorge, Fandral and Valstann accompanied by the most battle-hardened sentinels, keepers and priestesses, with the druids healing and casting exhaustively. It seemed that for every massive cluster of silithid that was destroyed hundreds more would take their place. So it had been for the past few days, since word of the silithid incursion had first arrived and Fandral had sounded the call to arms.

The priestess Shiromar and her companions had all regained enough energy to call upon the grace of Elune simultaneously; they now watched as a blinding column of light obliterated the swarm blocking the gorge's terminus.

Then, a low buzzing sound filled the air. One by one, flying insect creatures--the winged Qiraji, flew over the lip of the gorge and down, striking at the druids in the supporting positions.

Fandral led the front lines from the gorge into the open sands, stepping over the corpse-mounds of the silithid. The air was alive with the thrumming of the Qiraji as they swooped down and slashed with clawed appendages. Fandral pressed forward to allow the supporting ranks room to spread out.


Rajaxx
As she looked to a ridge in the distance, Shiromar witnessed swarms of land-bound Qiraji pouring over the crest like ants swarming from a hill. A towering monstrosity lumbered into view, swinging clawed limbs, looming over all, shouting commands to the insect soldiers.

Among the chattering and droning of the swarms, one sound seemed to repeat in the presence of the commanding warrior: Rajaxx, Rajaxx... though Shiromar did not understand the Qiraji's communications, she wondered if that might not be the creature's name.

As the next wave of Qiraji drew near, a great horn sounded: from the east and west, multitudes of night elves charged onto the field. With a blood-curdling cry Fandral and Valstann pressed straight into the heart of the oncoming swarm; the two sides clashed and melted into each other as the newly arrived forces crushed in on both flanks.

Shiromar felt for sure that they had won out; but as the shadows grew long and day proceeded into night, the battle continued. In the center of the fray, Fandral, Valstann, and the Qiraji general clashed in a desperate struggle.

As Shiromar narrowly avoided several attacks from the winged Qiraji, she glanced to where the general battled father and son. The numbers of the Qiraji were dwindling, and the general seemed to sense this, for with a mighty leap he bounded away, back to the ridge where Fandral had first spotted him. From there he disappeared and the few remaining insect-creatures were quickly eradicated.

That evening watches were set as the night elf forces rested. Fandral knew that the Qiraji threat had not fully been quelled, and he expected the battle to begin anew the following the morning. Throughout the night Shiromar slept only in brief increments, the din of battle still ringing in her ears, though the surrounding desert remained quiet.

With morning, as the troops reformed and pushed on to the ridge they were greeted by an eerie stillness. Shiromar scanned the horizon but the Qiraji and silithid were nowhere to be seen. As Fandral prepared to press on, a messenger arrived with dire news: the town of Southwind Village was under attack.

Fandral considered pulling the troops back to defend the village, but he sensed that such an action would only leave an open door to invasion from the remaining Qiraji. They still had no idea of just how many the insects numbered, or even if they had seen all that this new race had to throw at them.

Valstann correctly guessed his father's thoughts and offered to lead a detachment to the village so that Fandral could stay and provide containment.

Standing close by, Shiromar heard the rest of their conversation play out:

"It could be a ruse." Fandral said.

"Surely we can't take that chance father." Valstann answered. "I'll go. I will defend the city and I will return victorious, upholding the honor of your name."

Reluctantly, Fandral nodded. "Just return alive and I will be more than satisfied."

Valstann gathered a detachment and Fandral watched his son depart. Shiromar worried that their forces were divided, but she understood the necessity of the action.


Silithid Hive
For the next few days Shiromar and the others battled wave after wave of silithid streaming from the hives scattered throughout the land. Still, the Qiraji remained unseen. A feeling of dread began working its way under Shiromar's skin; she felt it a bad omen that the silithid's masters had not appeared for so long. She worried over the fate of Valstann, and at several points throughout each day, during lulls in the continuous butchering she spied Fandral quietly looking back over the horizon, anxiously anticipating his son's return.

On the third day as the noon-day sun reached its zenith, the Qiraji appeared, their numbers reinforced. Once again the buzz of insect wings stirred the air; once again interminable multitudes crested the rim of the horizon. They spread out before Fandral and the others like the shadow cast by a giant cloud obscuring the sun... and stopped.

And waited.

Fandral formed his lines and stood at the forefront of the ranks as Stormcrows circled overhead and Druids in bear form clawed the dirt in anticipation, all watching intently. Moments later the ocean of insects parted, and the hulking form of the Qiraji general approached, carrying a wounded figure in its clawed appendage. It proceeded to the front of the Qiraji lines and held Valstann Staghelm aloft for all to see.



Southwind Fallen
Gasps spread throughout the ranks. Shiromar felt her heart sink. Fandral stood mute, knowing that Southwind had fallen, and fearing that his son may already be dead. He cursed himself for allowing the boy to leave and stood, frozen by a mixture of fear, anger and despair.

Within the general's claw, Valstann stirred and spoke to the general, though he was too far away to be heard.

At once the spell that had fallen over Fandral broke and he bolted forward, followed by the night elf forces, but the distance was great... and even before the Qiraji general acted, Shiromar knew they could not reach Valstann in time.

The Qiraji general fixed his second claw onto Valstann's bloodied form, and with both he squeezed... and pulled apart, separating the young night elf's body at the waist.

Fandral slowed, faltered, and fell to his knees, the onrushing night elves parting around him. As the two forces finally clashed, a sandstorm rushed in from the east, blocking out all light; choking, stifling. Shiromar felt the winds force her movements nearly to a halt. She blocked her eyes as best she could, the howling wind buffeting her ears, drowning out the sounds of battle and the screams of her dying comrades.

Through the chaos she glimpsed the murky, behemoth shadow of the Qiraji general not far away, slashing and reaping through rows of night elves like a harvester shearing wheat. Then she heard Fandral, his voice ghostly through the storm, calling for the armies to fall back.

Much of what followed seemed to happen rather quickly, although in fact it took days: Fandral led his forces out of Silithus, through the mountain passes and into the bowl of Un'Goro Crater, the silithid and Qiraji legions never far behind, consuming those who fell just beyond the protection of the primary force.


Ungoro Crater:
Fire Plume Ridge
Once inside Un'Goro however a strange thing happened: word spread throughout the ranks that the Qiraji had fallen back, just as the forces had passed the edge of the crater. The Arch-Druid gathered the remaining troops in the bowl's center and gave the order to stand fast. Finally, a lull had come in the fighting, fleeing and dying. But the night elves had suffered a bitter defeat, and Fandral Staghelm's demeanor had changed irrevocably.

Shiromar watched as Fandral stood guard, looking out from Fire Plume Ridge, the steam of the volcanic vents rising behind him, the orange lava glow illuminating his face, a mask that concealed the deepest anguish--a sorrow known only to parents who have outlived their children.

The sudden retreat of the Qiraji puzzled Shiromar. The more she thought on the subject, the more she remembered the legends surrounding the Crater, rumors that it had been built in the primordial age by the gods themselves. Perhaps they watched over the land. Perhaps their blessings still anointed this place. One thing however was for certain: if a plan was not devised to stem the tide of the insect race...



Tanaris:
Caverns of Time
Kalimdor would be lost forever.

The War of the Shifting Sands continued for long, agonizing months. Shiromar managed to survive battle after battle, but always the night elves were on the defensive, always outnumbered, always being driven back.

Out of desperation Fandral sought the aid of the elusive bronze dragonflight. Their initial refusal to interfere was reversed when the brazen Qiraji attacked the Caverns of Time, home and province of Nozdormu the Timeless One.

Nozdormu's heir, Anachronos, agreed to enlist the bronze dragonflight against the marauding Qiraji. Every able-bodied night elf joined the cause, and together they forged a campaign to retake Silithus.

Even with the might of the dragons backing them, however, the sheer numbers of the Qiraji and silithid proved overwhelming. And so Anachronos called upon the progeny of the remaining flights: Merithra, child of Ysera of the green flight; Caelestrasz, child of Alexstrasza from the red, and Arygos, child of Malygos from the blue.


Dragonflights
The dragons and winged Qiraji clashed in the cloudless sky above Silithus as the whole of the Kalimdorian night elf forces streamed in across the sands. Even so, it seemed that the numbers of Qiraji and silithid were never-ending.

Shiromar later heard whispers that the dragons flying above the ancient city from which the Qiraji emerged saw something distressing there; something that hinted at a more ancient, terrifying presence behind the onslaught of the insect race.

Perhaps it was this revelation that spurred the dragons and Fandral to hatch their final, desperate plan: to contain the Qiraji within the city, to erect a barrier that would confine them until a more hopeful stratagem could be devised.

With the aid of the four dragonflights, the final push to the city began. Shiromar marched behind Fandral as the corpses of the winged Qiraji fell from the sky. High above, the dragons were making short work of the insect soldiers. As one the night elves and dragons formed a moving wall which pressed the Qiraji back toward the city of Ahn'Qiraj.

But near the city gates, the tide turned, and it was all the combined forces could do to hold the line. To push any further would be impossible. Merithra, Caelestrasz and Arygos decided to push into the city and hold the Qiraji back long enough for Anachronos, Fandral, and the remaining druids and priestesses to create the magical barrier.

And so the three dragons and their companions flew headlong into the Qiraji legions, into the city where they hoped their sacrifice would not be in vain.

Outside the gates Fandral called upon the druids to focus their energies as Anachronos summoned the enchanted barricade. Beyond the gates, the three dragon progeny succumbed to the overwhelming forces as the Qiraji surged forth.

Shiromar concentrated her energies and called upon the blessing of Elune as the barrier erected itself before their eyes, rock and stone and roots from beneath the sands emerging to create an impenetrable wall. Even the winged soldiers who attempted to fly over the barrier met with an invisible obstruction that they could not pass.

The Qiraji who remained outside the wall were quickly slain. The corpses of Qiraji, night elves and dragons littered the bloody sands.

Anachronos motioned to a scarab scuttling below his feet. As Shiromar watched the creature froze, then flattened out, transforming into a metallic gong. Stones shifted into place near the wall, creating a dais where the gong was finally placed.


Scepter of the
Shifting Sands
The great dragon then proceeded to the severed limb of one of his fallen companions. He held the appendage and after a series of incantations, the limb morphed into the shape of a scepter.

The dragon told Fandral that should any mortal ever wish to pass the magical barrier and access the ancient city, they need only strike the scepter against the gong and the gates would open. He then handed the scepter to the Arch-Druid.

Fandral looked down, his face twisting in contempt. "I want nothing to do with Silithus, the Qiraji and least of all, any damned dragons!" With that Fandral swung the enchanted object into the magical gates--where it splintered in a shower of fragments--and walked away.

"Would you shatter our bond for the sake of pride?" the dragon asked.

Fandral turned. "My son's soul will find no comfort in this hollow victory, dragon. I will have him back. Though it takes millennia, I will have my son back!" Fandral then strode past Shiromar...

SKILLS AND CLASSES by Elhavius

ゲームを進行する際、キャラクターは2軸に別れた経験値(social/combat)を獲得することが出来る。social level毎にSxP (Social Experience)と少々のFxP (Fight Experience)獲得し、同様にcombat level毎にその逆の物を獲得する。
SxP pointsはsocial skillsに費やされ、FxP pointsはfighting skillsに費やされる。exploring skillsのようにSxPとFxPの両方を必要とするSkillもあります。

SkillsはLvに応じて使用可能(不可)なテーマに分類される。Dark and Light内のキャラクターはFxP levelsは増加するにつれ、段階と特殊性が進歩します。

Lv1(キャラ作成時)では、citizen sheetとsocial sheetが利用可能です。

Lv5では、ポイントを消費すれば、exploration sheetが利用可能になります。 それらのSkillを使用するには、clothesとInventory loadのような特殊要素が要求されます。同時に、4つの行路(fighter/spellcaster/healer/hunter)の中から1つを選択します。

Lv20において、キャラクターはClassに関連したorientationsを選択できます。各classはgeneral skillsの唯一の組合せとなります。PaladinとWarriorや、PaladinとClericのように共通のskillsを持つかもしれない。
Dark and Lightには、以下の16 classesが存在します。

(classesとorientationsのバランスを取るために若干変更してあります。)

スタート時は14 classesのみが選択可能です。ShamanとBarbarianはepic questsを通して選択可能となります。

各classのSkillsは3つに派生し、それぞれは前述したclassのプレイ方法を表します。

Lv35で、キャラクターはそのclassに特化したunique skillsのsheetを得ます。

Lv50で、キャラクターは最後のspecialization sheetを得ます。それらはinstanceの questを通して得られるかもしれないresearch skillsです。


SxPとFxPはlevel 100がMAX。

一つのskillに20points消費できます。questをこなして、この限界を越えることも可能です。1つのskillにより多くのpointを消費することによって、より強力な側面を解除できます。20point以上消費するとskill parameters (maximal damage, range, etc.)が増加します。Skillは、例えば、特殊攻撃の最少dmgのような、spellに関連したパラメーターを変更するtrainingを必要とします。trainのためには成功判定が必要です。一旦、100%成功するようになれば、200%まで増加させることが可能です。尚、この追加trainingによってspell効果を増加させることは可能ですが、長期間に渡り使用無い場合はpointを失うかもしれない。続きを読む

Searching for a soul mate

"They didn’t have an easy life, you know. Mixed bloods, children born from strife between both sides... Same thing for Half-Orcs, by the way. They try not to socialize too much when they are in big cities, too many people throw stones at them for fun. So they made their own small communities, villages built where you don’t expect any. Most of them prefer swamps, they don’t care much about diseases that could kill the rest of us. That must be something they got from their Troll origins, and the fact that they worship Malecta, even if some left her to worship Hydra or Hel.

The one we saw tonight was quite large, most are only 2.10m to 2.30m high. They are bigger than any other race, have great stamina and strength, and that’s why they were often used as support troops when the war was raging.

Today, many people respect them for what they did. Some even caught the Immortals attention, which made them a true race: Vahalken the Ranger, Ellianor the Druid, Arkorak the Warrior and Aleéria the Amazon taught them their art, which made them even stronger on the battlefields.

But they are doomed with a terrible curse: the few Half-Troll females that were born didn’t survive. The low number of unions and the unexplained drop in fertility rates for mixed couples make Half-Trolls a lonely race, without any hope to have children one day. If nobody can find a solution, this race will disappear soon. But there is a rumor around and some Trolls blindly believe in; when even he gods abandon us, the slightest sign of hope makes us go forward. This rumour is about a hidden place where you can find Half-Troll females.

When a Half-Troll want to search for them, he wears a traditional pilgrim outfit. It’s always interesting to talk to these people for a bit, even if it’s only to get some information about the war, to know which kingdoms are now free, where the front-line has moved to... They know every rock on every road, they know the place."

My mother says I’m the type of guy they’re looking for in the army, they’re looking for these guys who don’t want to make any decisions, who don’t want to be confronted by a choice...

Speaking of the Teachings, this is a real nightmare: there are fourteen of them, which doesn’t make things easier for me, and on top of that, I have to find a master to teach me everything I have to know. I can tell you now, there aren’t many of them around, I only met a few people who could precisely tell me where I could find one. They aren’t even in the same place! What a lack of organization, I tell you!

So I went back home in tears, completely lost. I feel my life is offering me lots of things, but without any sort of direction.

I’m lost, yes, I think that’s the right term...

Hは細胞膜の内側へ侵入する武器のたんぱく質の種類番号を表し
Nは細胞膜の外へ飛び出す脱出装置のたんぱく質の種類番号を表す。

Hは15種類(理論上)
Nは9種類(理論上)
15×9=135種類のインフルエンザウィルスの基本の型が
机上の計算の上では存在する。
この基本の型をベースにインフルエンザは
遺伝子突然変異で無限にモデルチェンジを繰り返す。

韓国・中国産キムチ寄生虫問題続報

国内で市販の韓国産キムチから回虫の卵…厚労省発表

10月中旬ごろ輸入された400グラム入りパック1個を研究チームが購入して調べたところ、卵が見つかった。

1/1で検出する東京医科歯科大の研究チームGJ

10月下旬以降、検疫所で輸入時に抜き取り検査などを行っているが、この検査では寄生虫卵は見つかっていない。

東京医科歯科大の研究チームが検出したブタ回虫かヒト回虫の卵は、食べても人体に影響はないという。

回虫症の症状によると
回虫症は症状がないことが多いですが、幼虫が肺に移動するときに、発熱、せき、喘鳴(ぜんめい)が起こることがあります。小腸で回虫が増えると腹痛が起きたり、小児では腸閉塞が起こることがあります。成虫が口から吐き出されたり、便の中に出てきたりといった、心理的に不快な状況もありえます。成虫が盲腸、胆管、膵管(すいかん)に詰まると、激しい腹痛が起きます。

Kingdoms available and size of the world:
-8881年では、Al-Drifa王国と隣の2つのrealmsを旅することが出来るよ。Dragoonがまだ他のとこは支配してるからね、戦はま未だ継続中で、 軍隊が支配地を得るか失うかを目の当たりにするかもね。この3国で5,000km2か3,000mile2 (海面含む)を提供できるよ、Dark and Light mapの1/8ぐらいかな。

PvP and PvE in SoG:

-SoG終了はDark and Light開始時だよ、DnLがリリースされたらSoGはプレイできなくなるよ

SoG account lifespan:

Exploration in SoG:
-Exploration skillsとSxP systemはSoGに実装されるよ

Characters on the same account:
-同じアカウントでDark/Lightどちらのキャラも作れるよ。さしあたって、キャラ変更する際に制限はないよ。

Pets:
-騎乗可能なモノに加えて、mountじゃないPetを訓練して使役することが出来るよ。基本的に、適切なスキルがあれば、Dark/Lightのmonster全てがpetとして訓練できるよ

Character creation:
-キャラ作成の際に、肉体的なカスタマイズが出来るよ。skin color, hair style, facial hair, tattoos and piercingsが変更可能ね

Closed beta application during SoG:
SoG中にもclosed betaは続けるよ

Patches and characters:
-でっかいパッチとか当たっても、キャラは消えないよ

Burning SoG to DvD:
SoGはDVDに焼くことが出来るよ。回線がしょぼい人に分けてあげてね。
