viennese biscuits
ingredients
make 8
oil for greasing
75g butter, softened
25g icing sugar
75g flour, sieved
1/4 tsp baking powder
225g plain chocolate
(broken into pieces)
1. preheat the oven to 190 C.
Lightly grease a baking tray with oil.
Put the butter and sugar in a large bowl and
cream until pale and fluffy.
Beat in the flour and baking powder until the
mixture is completely smooth and throughtly
combined.
2. Using a piping bag fitted with a star- shaped
nozzle pipe 8 S-shaped biscuits on the baking
tray. Bake in the center of the oven for 15-20
minutes unitil crisp and golden.
Remove the biscuits from the heat and allow
to cool on a wire rack.
3. Melt the chocolate in a bowl set over a pan
from the heat.
Taking one biscuit at a time, dip both ends
into the melted chocolate.
Allow the biscuits to cool on a plate.
