Cornbread
Ingredients 1 loaf
150g flour
100g cornmeal
2-4 tbls caster sugar
1 tbls baking powder
1 tsp salt
175ml milk
1 egg
65g melted butter, plus extra for freasing
1. Preheat the oven to 200C .
In a medium-size bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal,
sugar, baking powder and salt.
Mix together the milk, egg and melted butter in a jug and
stir into the dry ingredients to form a stiff batter.
2. Pour the batter into a greased, shallow 20 cm squire tin.
Bake for 25 minutes.
