Busy Season

I'm in Oregon.
It's rainy and cold as I expected.
I'm on the edge. Really.
How can I go through this hurdle? That's the question that I ask myself every busy season.
That means... I can go through this season as I did...
I am the only person who can put pressure on me.
I know that nothing's gonna happen but sometimes I just wanna say I'm tired.

言えたら楽だっつの。
言ったら俺じゃねっつの。
そんなもんだ。

もう寝ます。
だって人間だもの。

Mr. Lonely

I've just come back from Japan.
I appreciate all support from my great friends in Japan.

But in actuality, I should have been here to study.
The last exam is right on the courner.
Giving up is too easy. I don't think I'm gonna pass this time. It is first experience that I feel I might be gonna give up...

It is 6:00 am.
I couldn't sleep at all.
How can I deal with that?

Anyway, I'm gonna be studying...

青井由季は生きていた！

2004年のクリスマス。
まだ中央青山で監査をしてた頃だなぁ。

月9のラストクリスマスって覚えてるだろうか。
俺にとっては5本の指に入る大好きなドラマのひとつ。
未だに俺の新婚旅行第一候補はイエローナイフ。
実は何かの間違いで最終回だけ見逃した状態で気になって気になってしょうがなかったのに6年もたってしまった。

俺の中では由季の行方が気になってしょうがなかった。
そして今朝、DVDをルーミーが持ってることが発覚！
何はともあれ即座に観た。
そして泣いた。

由季は生きてた！！！！
それだけで泣いた。
そのシーンより前にすでに泣いてたけど。
止まらなくなった。

このビデオを一緒に観てるあたなと笑いながらこのテープを捨てるのが私の最高のクリスマスプレゼントになるでしょう。

NY

I went to NY on business two weeks ago.
OMG, it was way safer than I had thought.
I drunk a lot the last night in NY and didn't remember anything at all after going karaoke.
The only thing that I have is receipt of $148 for drink.
In addition, I missed my fright from JFK to LAX, but I was good enough at English to get a new ticket to be back home.
What a amazing trip it was!

How have you been?

It's been so long time. I'm so sorry.
I've just watched Titanic again.
This was fifth time to see it. First was in Japan, the second was in Hawaii when I visited as a backpacker before getting to LA, the third and fourth were in my house. I remember I got this DVD as soon as i came to the US to learn English. I don't know how my English has improved but I'm sure that at least i'm getting used to it. hahaha.

He excists now only in my memory.

BTW, it's been too long to explain everything, so just pick up the material events I have had so far.

Won a selection of working VISA! yeah!
Bought the new car, white Audi TT!
Moved into a new house sharing with co-workers.

Started working for a local firm as an auditor .
[Winter]
Started the first busy season.
Said good luck to an important person.
[Now]
Still in the busy season.

As you know, I love to be busy.
As you can imagine, ive been working hard as i used to do.
I'm Naoki even if I'm in the US or Africa.

I don know what's going on in the future.
But at least, I'm doing my best. That's all what I can do now.

Long time no write.

I moved to Palos Verdes, where is famous as an expensive area in LA county, last month because classes for college were almost finished and my application for working visa was approved by US government.
I’m gonna go back to Japan to take meeting with US embassy on middle of September. Hey my old friends, schedule drinking!

In these days, I go to office everyday like general workers.
When I left Japan, I thought I was gonna change my life from kind of workaholic.
But, in reality, I’ve started again… hahaha.
Actually I really enjoy this situation; what I’m doing is very simple but it’s done in English.
I don’t wanna live in US for whole life, but this experience must be gonna make me confident.

My 2 co-workers and I are planning to move into a big house that is located at top of the hill in south Torrance.
It has 5 bedrooms, 1 playroom, 3 bathroom, pool, and Jacuzzi.
Our new life must be gonna be excellent.
Fortunately, the house owner is a person who graduated same junior high and high as I did.
How accidental!!

Today is the first day to go to new English school of which my co-worker’s wife is one of teachers.
It looks like one I used to go in Tokyo, but curriculum is totally different.
It’s gonna be first time to learn kind of slang.
I’m looking forward to it.

In anyways, I’m going.

This weekend I had a lot of things to do as last weekend.

First of all, our accounting firm’s official team had a softball game in the morning. Half of the teammates are not good at it, but it is kind of advertisement of our firm, so they have to join. If we are absent at the game, it means going against the job description. Hahaha.

At the last inning, the last batter hit a pop fly to in between the left fielder and me. Both of us tried to catch it and we got accident. Both could not stand up for a while. My boss and we have another team which is going to have semi final of another tournament on following day. He said to us “are you guys OK to play tomorrow?” Hey men! Is your mind full of softball??

Fortunately, we won, so my boss went back feeling well. If we had lost, it could have been bad atmosphere. We got lucky…

Then I went to Lakewood to play footsul. Our team was leading the league. We started that game with good mood as usual. But, then, after half time break, our captain was heart by the other team player’s charge. He could not stand up again and went out from the field. After that, we went to worse time by time. Finally, we lost. In addition, he might not be able to play for a month. I could see tough future.

We had two softball games from 9am to 1pm. If we had not won for the first game, we could go back early.

Before this tournament, one of our team mates dead because of cancer. He really liked this team, so we wanted to win the tournament. Our team could not hit many hit during regular season, but it was suddenly changed when the tournament was started. Nobody knows why we could change. We believe it is because of the man.

We scored more than 60 points for total today. It was unbelievable!!! In anyway, we were exhausted. I could not do anything. I just fell deep asleep.

I went to new client to evaluate the business value of the client. Existing client wants to buy the company, so we signed agreement evaluating the business.

It was located near airport, LAX. I have not gone to any client for a long time since I left Japan. Therefore, I was a little nervous. But person in charge of accounting of the company was nice lady and smart. The job went really well. Eventually, we went to drink with the company’s owner. He is third generation Japanese American. He said to me that if I needed girlfriend, he was going to recommend someone as many as I wanted. All I could do was laughing…

実家を出たとき、日本を出てくるとき、
なんか思い出すねぇ。

二人は今の俺には優しすぎる。

絶対でっかくなって帰るから、なんて思ってはいてもやっぱ大変だぁね。
もどかしいわぁ大分。
今帰ったら大負け。
負けず嫌いは相変わらずな俺。

I have no idea when they released it.

When I left my hometown, when I left Japan,
those are remaining fresh in my mind.

Their kindness are too much for me now.

Though Im thinking Im gonna go back after becoming a big guy, its not an easy matter after all.
Its really irritating.
If I went back now, it meant losing.
The all things that havent changed is that I hate to lose.

Working visa

今日H-1ビザ（ワーキングビザ）を申請しました。
というか弁護士が提出したと信じている。
今日から半年間は国外に出れません。
出るとなんかめんどくさいらしいので。

とれるといいなぁ。
こっちで働いてみたいなぁ。
彼女が欲しいなぁ。


I applied working visa today.
My agent, layer, must have sent the letter to the immigration office.
I hope so...
It's gonna be impossible to go out of the U.S. during a half year.
I heard if I go out, it'll be complicating.

I hope I can get the working visa.
I hope I'm gonna work here.
I hope I can get a girlfriend.

最後には一緒に記念撮影しちゃいました。

明後日は世界フィギュア見に行きます。
またしても日韓一騎打ちか？

いやぁいい試合だった。
スポーツバーで同僚と観てきたんだけどやっぱりいい試合だった。
アメリカはいつになったら本気になるのやら…
ジーターが1番じゃない時点でやる気ね〜

興奮して帰ってきたら今日球場で生で観てきたシェアメイトたちがほぼ同時にご帰宅。
興奮したまま話してるうちに今からでもチケットとれるんじゃね？ってことになって…

とれちゃいました！！！！！！
明日はドジャースタジアムで生で決勝戦見てきます。

I went to a sports bar with my coworkers to watch the WBC game vs. the U.S.
US team is not a dream team... When will they become serious?
Derek Sanderson Jeter should be the 1st batter, doesn't he?

As soon as I came home, one of my sharemates and her friends came back from Dodger Stadium.
As we talked about today's game, we thought it wasn't too late to get tickets for tomorrow.
And then...

We got them!!!!!
We are gonna watch the game at Dodger Stadium tomorrow.
