East Japan Disaster Reconstruction Support -
PHJ at Giving Back to Japan

On May 16, Dutch Chamber of Commerce, Tohoku Planning Forum, and 16 national chambers of commerce organized “Giving Back to Japan 2: Community Leaders Report” to deliberate emergency and reconstruction support to the people and community struck by the East Japan Disaster. PHJ Vice Chairperson Shingo Oda, President Toshio Kimura, and Hisashi Okouchi and Sachiko Yazaki participated in the event.

This is the second event of the Giving Back to Japan organized a year ago by the chambers of commerce of 13 countries, European Business Council in Japan, and Foreign Press Association.

PHJ has been extending reconstruction support to medical facilities in Tohoku with extraordinary generous donation from European Business Council in Japan and its member organizations, such as Nokia, Ericsson, H&M, dunhill, Welkam, USM, and Carl Zeiss, as well as Hilton in the Community Foundation. At a networking session, PHJ presented our reconstruction support activities on a panel board and photos and requested the participants for further cooperation.
