I climbed up
the steep rocky hill higher, then reached "Rainbow View", on the old road that's no longer used.
I can see many cars on the main driveway across the valley, that's famous "Tunnel View" for the magnificent view. I can't get the great panorama as much as Tunnel View from this side though, it's a worth more than Tunnel View, I think. It's only a hiker could get this view.
Around 4pm, I bumped into "The North Rim Trail" as a major hiking trail. I looked for camp location on the hiking map, small creek on there. Even though I have to hike down to opposite way just little, It's better way. finally I can camp on backcountry, really I have wanted! Excited and walk easier!!
Actually I would be able to walk this trail thru on one day hike. But Backcountry camp is one of my purpose also pleasure of hiking in America. That's prohibited In mostly Japanese national parks. I feel that the backcountry camp is so different with camping ground. it has more risk but has much exciting factors.
I can feel the nature more strong, like something stock solution of the extracts from the nature,,, that makes me relax and excited. I guess it's like thick coffee,,, yeah I'm sure I can say that backcountry camp is like caffeine. Make sure don't become addicted!
Anyway, I had a fantastic night on the wilderness then got a crisp morning. I took cold water from the creek and made coffee as Hopkins style, belong with Nick Adams stories, you know? Umm,,, thick and rough in this taste is good for backcountry.
I'm refreshed completely, so let me start the hiking on. After walked the rock slides that was very rough with unstable rocks, thick plants as barricade, and many bear's feces, It feels mild hiking on the north rim. Nothing bear's sign, but hikers on there today.
Then I reached on the highlines. The sky is widely and brightly, the trail has drawn on the rim in awhile, it roaded me on the top of El Capitan.
