How to write right and left in chinese character?

Sometimes, I feel strange things in my dream in recent days after I got sick. And, I experienced one last night. In the dream in the last night, I was teached by someone that the orders to write ling poles and standing poles are opposite in the chenese characters 'left' and 'right' (I made sure that after I got up). I think that I didn't know such a thing before, so I was very surprised. I wonder how I knew that.
After got up, I told that my mother with a little bit of excitement. However, she was so cool againt my expectation. Her opinion is that I have known the fact and I just forgot that. Maybe she is right. But it's not interesting, if so. If I have knewn the right order to write left and right for the first time in the dream, it is quite surprising, though it's not scientific.
