Good morning, everyone.
Happy New Year.

Last year, I wrote about the importance of possessing a soft intellect. It was a reflection on empathy, openness, and the quiet strength of understanding others.

This year, I would like to take one step further.

A soft intellect does not drift. It stands.

In the stillness of the New Year’s morning, light stretches across the water, forming a single, steady path. No voices rise. No figures appear. Yet human presence is unmistakable. Wisdom, I believe, lives in moments like this.

A quiet intellect allows us not only to adapt, but to choose—what to accept, what to question, and what to carry forward. In a world that often rewards speed and volume, a soft yet grounded intellect becomes an anchor. It listens carefully, thinks patiently, and acts deliberately.

Such intellect draws out the potential in others. Not by instruction, but by presence. Not by force, but by consistency.

True wisdom is not the accumulation of knowledge, but the discipline to remain thoughtful
when certainty is demanded too quickly.

As we move through this new year, let us stand with a quiet intellect—firm in values, gentle in judgment,
and open to growth.

May this be a year in which wisdom is not displayed, but practiced.

Thank you.
