Attn: XXXX,

I am Barr. Gregory Davids, an attorney at law and a notary public.
On the 21st of April 2002, my client Mr. Mark XXXX, his wife and their only son were involved in a fatal car crash in Jakarta. {INDONESIA}

Unfortunately they all lost their lives in the event of the accident, since then i have made several enquiries to locate any of my clients extended relatives and this has also proved unsuccessful.
After these several unsuccessful attempts to locate any member of his family, hence I contacted you.

I contacted you to assist in repatriating the money and property left behind before they get confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank where my client lodge these huge deposits. Particularly, the bank where the deceased had an account valued at about U.S$13.5 million U.S dollars. Consequently, the bank issued me a notice to provide the next of kin or have the account confiscated within a short time. Since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over some years now, I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of the deceased since you share the same surname so that the proceeds of the account valued at U.S$13.5million can be paid to you for both of us to share the funds; 65% to me and 30% to you, while 5% should be for expenses or tax as your government may require.

I have all necessary legal documents that can be used to backup the claim .All I require is your honest cooperation to enable us see this deal through. I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law.
Pls contact me via my e-mail: to enable us discuss further.

Thanks for your kind co-operation
Yours sincerely,
Barr.Gregory Davids.

China appeals for football calm

China is still bitter about the massacre of 300,000 Chinese civilians in Nanjing in 1937, as well as numerous allegations of human rights abuses before and during the war.

これは非常に曖昧な一文だと思います。正確に解読するとBBCは「30万人の虐殺は史実である」と言っているように思えます。"as well as"の後に"allegations"があるので、"the massacre of 300,000 Chinese civilians"も同様に"allegations"みたいなものだとも取れなくもないですが、どうなんでしょうか。

One Japanese fan conceded that he understood why the Chinese booed and taunted his team at the Asian Cup.

"If we were in their place, I would feel like booing Japan," he told the BBC.

NTT DoCoMo: Press Release Article - NTT DoCoMo and Telstra Commence Strategic Partnership for i-mode in Australia

BBC NEWS | Europe | Wedding bells for Spain's royals

さて、日本では考えられないことですが、Letiziaはバツイチです。カトリック教会は"Ms Ortiz's marriage to the prince was not opposed by Spain's Roman Catholic church because her first wedding was not held in a church."と言っていますが、何だか無理やりこじつけたような感じで笑えます。
