Chap 3 飛べない鳥

「さっ行きましょ！時間があまり無いわ」
ジミーは再び娘さんの肩に乗せられてわれに返りました。そして今の決心を話そうとしました。
「あのねっ僕旅に出ようと決めたんだ。強くなって家族と空を飛べるようになりたいんだ。
だからみんなを連れに農場に戻ってよ。一緒に旅に出るんだ」
ピヨピヨ啼くジミーを娘さんはじっと見てそして言いました。
「まぁこの場所が気に入ったのね。お使いに行くたびにここで一休みするのよ。私ももっとここに居たいけど遅くなるのが心配なのよ。すぐにつれてきてあげるわ。」
ジミーは娘さんのエプロンのポケットに押し込められました。少しの間ジミーはポケットの中でそうじゃないんだとバタバタしていましたが、暖かいポケットの中、すぐに眠くなってしまいました。

Chap 2 小さな冒険

ある日娘さんは、隣村にあるおじさんの家へお遣いに行ってくれと、お父さんに頼まれました。お父さんは、数日前にヤギの乳で作った自家製チーズを届けてほしいと言いました。
娘さんは、ジミーたちのいる小屋へとやってきて、ジミーに話しかけました。
「ねえ、一緒にお遣いに行かない？私ひとりじゃつまらないから。お散歩に行きましょうよ！」と言うと、そっとジミーを手の平に乗せました。
いつもと同じように、温かくて柔らかな手でした。

Chap 1 ぼく飛べるかな？

　とあるところに村がありました。その村のはずれに小さな農場がありました。
このお話の主人公はその農場で生まれました。
　4月のよく晴れた暖かい日、彼は生まれました。彼には二人の兄弟と二人の姉妹がいました。
1週間後にはミミズが食べられるようになりましたが、彼らの食事は農場主がくれるとうもろこしの粉や小麦、ひえ、粟、キャベツなどでした。

“Let’s go! We don’t have much time.”
Jimmy was put on her shoulder again, then Jimmy came to himself and he told her about his decision.
“Well, I decided to leave for a travel now. I will become strong and I’d like to fly with my family. So, please go back home to bring everybody. We will go on a journey together…”
The daughter gazed at cheeping Jimmy and said.
“You liked this place, didn’t you? I always take a rest here, when I go on an errand.
I also want to stay here more. But I’m anxious about becoming late. I’ll bring you here again soon.”
Jimmy was pushed into the daughter’s apron pocket. A short while, Jimmy struggled in her pocket to show that he didn’t mean it. But in a warm pocket he soon fell a sleep…

　One day, the daughter was asked from her father to go on errand for her uncle who lives in the next village. The father asked her to bring some cheese made from milk of the goat a few days ago.
　The daughter came to Jimmy’s house and spoke to him.
“ Listen, would you go on errand with me? I feel boring to go myself. So, shall we go for a walk! ” She said to Jimmy and put him on her palm gently.
Her hands were very warm as usual.

There was a village. And there was a small farm at the end of the village.
The hero of this story was born in the farm.
On a fine warm day in April, he was born. He had two brothers and two sisters.
One week later, they could eat worms. But they ate the food, which the owner of the farm fed them with cornmeal, wheat, barnyard, foxtail-millet and cabbage.
