It is widely known that there was a struggle for oxygen during the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
Currently, COVID-19 infections are converging in India.

In Japan, many patients who cannot be hospitalized are receiving oxygen therapy at home. In addition, more and more people are buying sports oxygen sprays in order to perform oxygen therapy on their own without visiting a medical facility.

Mast cell activation syndrome is an important factor in the severity of COVID-19.
Hypoxemia activates more mast cells. Therefore, preventing mast cell activation early in the infection may prevent severe disease. Especially in obese and elderly people, oxygen therapy mighjt be a more useful tool in the early stages of infection. The current peak of COVID-19 infection in Japan may not be due to vaccination, but to the voluntary adoption of oxygen therapy by people with mild symptoms.

I hypothesized that aggressive use of oxygen therapy in mild cases, which are judged not to require oxygen, would prevent severe disease. This hypothesis should be examined by the world's top research institutes.
