How to make stone flat - In order to make flat of the stone, hone it with another stones.
The angle of the stones needs to be changed.

Honing
1 Dip the stone in the water for about 30 minutes.
2 Rub the stone with Nakura. Nakura makes smooth and flat the surface of the stone. Nakura have to slide on the stone smoothly such as an ice cube.
3 Horn the razor in the parallel strokes.
Knives have to be honed in the across strokes with the edge to give the serrated cutting edge like a small saw, because knives are used in pushing or pulling on the material. But the razor's edge needs to be made smooth and straight in order to prevent hurting the skin.A well flattened stone can hone the razor blade in a minute honing.
4 Remove the burr on the edge on a cloth or leather.
Hone on the B side mainly. Don't hone on A side too much in order to preserve the hollow on A side. Rasors are designed to keep the horrow on A side for a life. Proper honing will enable one razor can be last for more than a decade even if it is horned every day.
Note.
The tip of edge of a new razor blade is supposed to be made round in order not to hurt the skin.
Pay attention the rusting.
Never leave your razor wet EVEN FOR A NIGHT. After shaving, wash and wipe out your razor with a dry cloth. Don’t leave the razor in a humid environment such as a bath room. Moisture can rust the razor. Keeping the razors in some hard damp proof box or case is recommended.
